Touring caravans on level hardstanding pitches with grass margins

Touring & motorhomes

Touring pitches with room to spread out

Hardstanding and grass bays, electric hook-up, and a calm field layout that keeps passing traffic away from your pitch.

Touring at Ashcombe Vale

We run touring through the main season with a smaller winter area for self-contained units. Arrivals from 1pm, departures by 11am unless you add a late check-out when booking. Reception can help with local OS maps and pub recommendations.

Pitch types

Hardstanding touring

Compacted gravel bays with level pads for steady steps and awnings. Ideal after wet weather and for heavier outfits.

Grass touring

Larger grass margins between units in the upper field. Choose electric or non-electric depending on how you like to camp.

Electric hook-up

16A bollards, individually metered at the pedestal. Bring your cable; RCD protection on your lead is required.

Dog-friendly bays

Dogs stay on leads on park. We place dog-friendly bookings nearer the dog walk gate where it is quick to pop out morning and evening.

What you will find on pitch

  • Drinking water points shared between small clusters of pitches
  • Chemical disposal for cassette toilets
  • Gray water empty by arrangement at the motorhome service point
  • Recycling bins at the field entrance

Who it suits

Couples walking the local footpaths, families with bikes, and motorhomers who want a quieter night before heading further north or west. If you are new to towing, tell reception on arrival—we will guide you onto the pitch.

Pricing

From £32 per night for two adults on a standard hardstanding pitch midweek in low season, including electric. Bank holidays and peak weeks are higher—enter your dates online for an exact total before you pay.

Touring FAQs

What size pitches do you offer for touring caravans?

We list standard and large touring bays. If you run a twin-axle or have a wide awning, choose a large pitch at booking so we can allocate the right space.

Are dogs allowed on touring pitches?

Yes, well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome on touring and camping pitches. Please keep dogs off the children’s play equipment and use the dog waste bins provided.

Do all pitches have electric hook-up?

Most touring pitches include 16A electric. A small number of grass touring bays are non-electric—filter at booking or call reception if you are unsure.
